Camilla was born in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, and is a proud fourth generation Swede. With a BA in International Business Management, and an MA in Broadcast Journalism, Camilla worked in Paris, London, and New York. Returning to Lincolnshire and the Shipping sector in 2008.
Camilla was appointed Chairman of Carlbom Shipping Ltd, the family ships agency in Immingham. Following family tradition, she became Hon. Consul for Sweden, Hon. Consul for Finland, Chairman of the Humber Chapter of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, and Council Member of the Swedish Chamber in London; actively promoting business and cultural connections across the North Sea, and within business in our region.
Camilla is a Deputy Lieutenant of the County of Lincolnshire, and is equally passionate about Lincoln Cathedral, the English Speaking Union, International Bomber Command Centre, the Danish Church in Hull: as well as her roles with the Hull & Humber Chamber of Commerce, as a Director of Team Humber Marine Alliance; and became the first woman elected onto the Federation Council of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in London.
David is the business editor covering the Humber region for Reach Plc, publisher of Business-Live.co.uk, the Hull Daily Mail, the Grimsby Telegraph and Scunthorpe Telegraph. He has been reporting on the Energy Estuary’s emergence and transformation for the past 15 years, first in offshore wind and now in the wider industrial settings as fuel switching and emission abating comes to the fore. From Cleethorpes, where he still lives with a young family, pen and pad are occasionally swapped for cricket bat or kayak paddle.
Mark a seasoned Industrialist has over 35 years experience in the Industrial/Engineering/Maritime & Offshore Renewables sectors. For the past 12 years Mark’s focus has been on the Maritime, Marine & Offshore Energy "Blue Economy" industries particularly around opportunities in the "Offshore Wind" sector. He actively promotes the Humber region as a centre for Offshore Renewables whilst endeavouring to involve local and regional companies in the supply chain. He has helped develop a world-class offshore wind supply chain cluster that has excelled in development, operations & maintenance and marinisation.
